Doug Makishima wins USTCC round 2 in Super Touring (ST)
Makishima extends his winning streak to 8 for AR-G Motorsports at Thunderhill Raceway Park
Napa, CA– August 7, 2020 – AR-G Motorsports announces that defending 2019 ST Season Champion Doug Makishima, an AR-G team principal and team driver, won the USTCC round 2 race in the Super Touring (ST) class at Thunderhill Raceway. This win continues his momentum from the season opener and extends his win streak to 8 in the #23 Summit Tech BMW M3. Makishima’s fastest race lap was well ahead his nearest ST competitor and was 2nd fastest overall including the faster class GT cars.
"Once again the team had the car well sorted and prepped going into USTCC round 2 at Thunderhill. We used a day of testing the Friday before the race weekend to gather data and further hone the setup, said Makishima.
